JOB SUMMARY:

To ensure that product processed from the lasers meet the specifications of the customer and are prepared as needed for additional processes.

 

  • REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS, AND BASIC SKILL LEVELS:
  • PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Strong industrial math skills and attention to details.
  • Ability to learn tasks, and follow directions, including use of measurement equipment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Successful completion of Pre-Employment physical.
  • 2-3 years experience running a laser in a production environment a plus.
  • Regular and predictable attendance required.

 

Class C Operator

  • Operate and adjust stand-alone laser as needed to cut single or multiple pieces from sheet.
  • Remove cut product from sheet steel and sort for processing or finished goods inventory.
  • Review shop orders, blueprints, and inspection records to determine process requirements.
  • Examine and measure product to verify conformance to specifications using measurement equipment as specified on inspection records.
  • Comply with policies, processes and systems of the ISO quality management system.
  • Support the commitment to a safe work environment as stated in the safety vision and the safety manual.
  • Perform duties listed above under class C operator
  • Load existing and adjust stand alone laser programs.
  • Troubleshoot stand alone lasers.
